I went to a Browsertrix website earlier in the year and was really impressed. I particularly liked the sliding QA functionality.

New documentation!

We've switched ReplayWeb.page's docs to MkDocs and updated the content on all pages bringing them in line with Browsertrix and Browsertrix Crawler's documentation standards.

i put together a new email template system for browsertrix & wrote a bit about it
Browsertrix 1.18 is out, with support for large seed lists and a new email system so invites, password resets, and everything else is clearer, smoother, and prettier.

Also better QA and a setting to automatically fail a crawl when you get logged out.

There are a couple techniques for DIY website preservation. My most recent experience involves configuring the (AGPLv3) headless browsertrix crawler - crawler.docs.browsertrix.com - which is a little steep on the technical curve but very configurable.

Up on the Webrecorder blog today: a post all about our latest Browsertrix release, 1.17.

This release was focused on two much-requested features: crawl pause/resume and crawling websites with only 1 or 2 browser windows.

our tools work on articles behind paywalls if you have a login - we have a Chrome extension called archiveweb.page and a crawler called Browsertrix that can work from a saved browser profile (with a nice UI or just the crawler in a Docker container)
