It does feel like a win. It can be hard. The toll on your mental health is worse when you don’t.

If Doug Ford is serious about doing more than cosplaying Captain Canada, he'll reinvest in Ontario's post-secondary system, to support the world-class research we're already conducting and to give a home to the soon-to-be displaced US-based academics.
We'll see.

Ok, mental health. You win.
It started with this. It continued through this. And I’m pretty sure this was the final straw.

Please understand that some of us are trying to protect our mental wellbeing by not engaging in these discussions. I’ve blocked the offending terms from my social media feeds. I find these posts incredibly triggering.

My dear friend @sameervasta.bsky.social is a gifted writer & storyteller. Here, he speaks for many of us who've had similar experiences. I find, in talking to friends my age, that many of us are feeling the same way. We care less about money & responsibility& more about doing something with meaning.

The media called Musk's salute, which Neo Nazis celebrated, a "hand gesture."

Why won't they acknowledge exactly what we all saw here?

As someone who worked in national newsrooms for years, let me explain why the media is allergic to meeting the moment in times like this.

I ask a not-so-simple favor…

Tomorrow, I’ll be spending my time honoring MLK’s legacy & posting about it. Join me.

My ask—stay aware. Take time later to learn what unfolds in DC. I saw a post on IG from Bernice King that I thought was perfect, and sharing a bit here. Take a moment…
