Woke up to lots more snow yesterday at camp on Ben Oss so we walked back out rather than push on for another two Munros. Visibility poor & snowed all day, tough going & waist deep in places. Looked beautiful coming back through tree line 👍😊❄️🏴 #munrobagging #snow #winter #mountains #scotland

We have all become addicted to drama, scandal & hyperbole. Some of us are trying to wean ourselves off it & focus on stuff like this. But it can sometimes feel like being a vegetarian at a barbecue.
At the risk of sounding like a government spokesperson, I wonder if we're too gloomy. NHS waiting times are falling, as are net migration numbers. Growth hasn't been fast, but it's improved. Real wages are growing. Inflation is a bit sticky, but much reduced.
