It is really this simple. I grew up where fascism had only been vanquished for 16 years. I know the stories my parents and grandparents told about life under il Duce. It pains me to see my beloved country sliding into autocracy, and so many of our people remaining unaware of it... or welcoming it...
The fundamental choice has not been as stark since World War II: democracy and freedom, or dictatorship and tyranny.
Trump and his sycophants are siding with the latter. The rest of us must loudly, proudly, and boldly proclaim our allegiance to the former.
