My high school kid had a lockdown and then full evacuation at school today. Everyone is perfectly fine but it makes me sick to my stomach every time and I’m Canadian. I can’t even imagine being an American and hearing this news.

I abhor all gun violence but it seems to me that Freedom of speech is a legal protection, not a moral or social one. If you say hateful things publicly about marginalized groups you’re putting yourself at huge risk for a lot of consequences which Freedom of speech can’t protect you from. 🧐

Found it pretty easy to buy almost my groceries avoiding American, Canadian companies are easy to spot and produce was all labeled as to country of origin. 🇨🇦🇨🇦

Agree. I remain traumatized when as a nursing student, a 99 year old was in for a vulvectomy, coded and was….a full code. Make it make sense.
I think after a certain age you shouldn't be allowed to be placed on a ventilator and I don't care if that makes me sound heartless

The realities of teaching in an inner city school: the day before March break when you’re exhausted, all of your students will be there because there are no trips or plans for these families.

I read somewhere that it’s better to have the tv on to a different program than to turn it off. This is so they can count how many of the viewers watching tv at that time, tuned into the inauguration. His percentage will be lower if actual TVs are tuned to a different show.
