go into the ocean outside the course and hug the castle wall, you should find it under one of the arches! can be used to unlock cataquack, as well as dolphin and pianta!

so let's do the desperation play and assume literally every plant that goes unspecified in pvz1, in addition to all the ones we've already thrown in, are women. except gloom-shroom i think gloom-shroom should stay nonbinary.

there's this one plant in later games called the Blockbuster that's related to the Grave Buster, and uses she/her pronouns. i think this shouldn't count i think this is a separate but related plant but like again. we're grasping for straws here

there was this one time in the pvz2 shop that sun-shroom used she/her. sun-shroom uses he/him literally everywhere else but like we're being as generous as possible here

but seeing how bad things are here even after this got me wondering. how can i make the absolute most generous pvz1 gender ratio possible
so starting off, while peashooter and hypno-shroom typically use he/him, there are specific peashooter and hypno-shroom characters that use she/her, so add them.

if we wanna include plants retconned later down the line, then we can throw in snow pea and chomper, who both use she/her in pvz3. they use he/him in pvz1 but like the girls fucking need this. this is a bandage on a gaping wound

a lot of plants are unspecified in pvz1, but we can use later games to fill in the blanks. this does give us four more women, but also twice as many plants get he/him pronouns through this so like i wouldn't really say it's an improvement!

so based purely on the pvz1 almanac, this is the gender ratio of the game. obviously pronouns don't necessarily equal gender, but given the he/him to she/her ratio i'm not exactly assuming the 2009-era devs consider half the plants in the game to be he/him lesbians. so you know. not great!
