the one tragic issue with the wicked movies is that jon m chu never knows how to tone down the excess, his musical movies are just… 100% excessive and it probably works better with the first act than the second. i expect “for good” to be devastatingly overplayed and ruin the whole thing

kind of startling how little of interest The Running Man accomplishes, but i guess less startling when i remember edgar wright made it (admittedly easy to forget, given how generic it feels!)

second episode is a lil funny but also completely demolishes the show’s entire premise by presenting functionally impossible and unreasonable scenarios multiple times over, so i don’t know what to do with this
second episode might stand a chance at being better but the first episode of pluribus feels like a really well-shot tv show created by a recent college graduate with no prior experience in the industry
