Picked up these two while in the Sainsbury's the opticians was in. Starscream is a quinjet and Optimus has like the strangest possible conversion. They are endeared to me after the day I've had.

Love that we're still getting titanmaster compatibility in big ticket items. I couldn't believe the instructions even point it out when there are none in Studio Series and they use Squeezeplay's head as the example!

Now the comics have brought Bulkhead back and also kind of validated his Legacy toy i thought I'd revisit it and I still like it but boy, all that stuff folding in his guts wasn't necessary was it? Still a weird one. Turned the round guy square. Change the cab and you'd be golden.

Yeah but you don't see his burst corpse. You don't see his guts go everywhere. It's off panel. It's implicit rather than explicit. Also this is the inciting incident in the book to tell you Starscream is a piece of shit and you should hate him in a way you never have before.

Now we've had a good while where core class is gone I'm thinking about it again in the light of "why did we bother?" Why those characters? Why did they do that Bumblebee movie Starscream, you know? Completely directionless after Kingdom. Anyway, anyone after Shockwave?

I know the Infernac guys made very little splash as their collective rocks fell into our pond but I still lament the fact they couldn't show up in anything if only to give Nucleous the character of a 50's B movie robot spliced with a caveman. There's so much here in a toy no one bought.
