The public should be able to attend a Pittsburgh City Council meeting without having the police called on them.

I was there. Full room, everyone was being respectful, gave public comment, and it was a great display of civic engagement.
It was just too Black for some and they called the police.

Since 1954, the IRS has banned nonprofits — including congregations — from participating in political campaigns. The agency now says political endorsements by churches should be allowed.
