What’s worse than paying sky-high prices at the grocery store?

Having an algorithm jack prices up on you—specifically.

And as AG, you can bet I’ll fight back.

My comms team said I had to do a “67” video. I wanted to do one about reproductive freedom.

This is our compromise.

You're invited! Join us on 12/29 at 4:00 PM MST to discuss corporate money and consumer protection with Pima County Attorney Laura Conover and Washtenaw County, MI Attorney Eli Savit. As always, we will cover a variety of different topics and take questions.

Corporations should NEVER be able to buy favor with an Attorney General.

That’s why I’ve never taken a corporate PAC check—and never will.

It’s Open Enrollment—& health insurance costs are burying Michiganders & small businesses.

Though the Trump Admin bears much of the blame, there’s another culprit: anticompetitive consolidation of the health industry.

And (yes) this is something the next AG can address. Link in comments:👇🏻

Somalis are not “garbage.” Affordability isn’t a “con job.”

And perhaps if the President was focused on our shared needs—not trying to divide us through dehumanization—we wouldn’t be in this economic state.

Some great Black Friday deals out there! But those that seem too good to be true? They probably are.

Learn more about Black Friday scams and tricks—and how I’ll fight to stop them as your next AG.

AG Nessel is entirely correct about the stakes here. As a result of a recent Supreme Court ruling limiting nationwide injunctions, Michigan *must* participate in lawsuits that harm the people of this state—or risk being left out of any relief ordered by a court.

As I’ve written, it was always unlikely that SCOTUS would reconsider marriage equality in this particular case.

But make no mistake: there remains a real appetite to erode LGBTQ equality. And—even with today’s welcome news—we must vigilantly fight back.

Breaking news: The Supreme Court has declined to consider a challenge to its landmark 2015 ruling that legalized same-sex marriage nationwide.

The challenge came from a county clerk who stopped issuing marriage licenses shortly after the ruling.
Supreme Court won’t hear challenge to landmark gay marriage ruling
The announcement indicates there is not an appetite among the high court’s conservative majority to revisit one of the court’s most significant decisions in recent years.

Many of our residents and clients rely on SNAP to afford food - just like millions of Americans. We are thankful that our Washtenaw County Prosecutor is fighting for us all. Thanks, @esavit.bsky.social!
BREAKING: The Trump Administration has filed an “emergency” appeal of a court order requiring it to pay SNAP benefits.

And just now, we’ve joined over 80 local governments & officials in filing a brief urging the continuation of those benefits. /1

Friends, we have a fundraising deadline TOMORROW. Because I don’t take corporate PAC checks, it means I’m spending basically every moment—even in the car—calling human beings to ask them to chip into our campaign.

If you can help out, link is in comments below 👇🏻.

Please consider chipping into an AG fund that’s *not* my campaign’s.

NY AG Letitia James has been indicted. Other AGs who challenge Trump may face similar fates.

This legal defense fund protects AGs & their staff who are targeted for doing their jobs.👇🏻

Today is #ConstitutionDay, so I took a bit of time to reflect on my favorite constitutional provision (yes, I have one), the values it reflects—and the path ahead for our republic.

Our nation’s never been perfect. Yet our constitutional structure has consistently allowed us to strive towards perfection.

Today, SCOTUS allowed the government to seize those who look Latino, speak Spanish/accented English, & work a (legal!) low-wage job.

More litigation ahead. But this decision—& what it allows—is repulsive to our Constitution & freedom. It'll be remembered as such for generations.

We’re facing unprecedented threats to due process & civil liberties at the federal level. And so it was my honor to join Rep. Carrie Rheingans, Sheriff Alyshia Dyer, & advocates and legislators from across Michigan to introduce the #DefendMIFreedoms package of bills in the Legislature. (1/2)

Proud to stand with striking Teamsters 332 nurses at Henry Ford Genesys today.

And it bears emphasis (on Labor Day!) they’re striking for us all. They’re fighting not just for fair working conditions, but for safe nurse-to-patient ratios—so those needing medical treatment can get care they deserve.
