I think this speech needs sharing again.

Since the PM said this, there have been Tories who have come out & said the same as Reform: that they want to see people with a legal right to be in the UK get deported.

Call it out and stand up for these people - our friends, neighbours and key workers.
People still claim Labour do nothing to help our armed forces & veterans.

But that is not true.

To mark the launch of the government's new Veterans Strategy, here is veterans minister Louise Sandher-Jones telling you what it is all about & how it's a joined up approach to helping veterans.

This is just part of Labour's £39bn vision to build the most social homes and affordable homes in more than generation.

✅ £7bn to deliver thousands of social homes across England

✅ Councils building at scale again

✅ £150m to transform brownfield sites

Not only is there £800m investment, but they are creating Regional Improvement Teams to help underperforming colleges to turn things around, including breaking down barriers to opportinity for 70k students.

It comes as work on the new network of VALOUR centres progresses. They will better connect veterans with local and national services.

Two senior members of the BBC have resigned!

BBC Director General Tim Davie and BBC News CEO Deborah Turness have stood down over over Trump documentary edit.

Both were also members of the BBC Board.

I don't care what the reason is - a lot of people have been waiting for this for a long time!

I don't think we should settle for this.

It's NOT ENOUGH.

We need the Chair of the BBC Board and other Board members to go as well.

They were happy with the Director General for so long when we could all see he was unsuitable.

So why should they stay in position?

Health boost for Britain's forces as New NHS Programme Launches

A new training programme to help NHS staff across England give the Armed Forces community the personalised care they deserve.

Why do people believe it's Tories who helpng our armed forces, but it's always Labour who delivers for them?

This is clearly very disappointing and there are urgent answers needed from the owners of Drax.

The big point to remember though, is that the Labour government are downgrading the Drax biofuel plant from a primary energy provider to a backup source for when renewal sources are insufficient.

The big news in Parliament next week is that the important Planning & Infrastructure Bill will finish it's initial passage through the Lords.

The Commons will pick it up again just a few days later to consider any amendments.

The Sentencing bill will also have it's 2nd reading in the Lords.

It is 429 days since the House of Lords (Hereditary Peers) Bill was introduced to Parliament.

The Commons passed it in just 69 days.

The Lords took a HUGE 241 days.

The Commons then rejected the Lords amendments & sent it back - that was 2 months ago and the Lords have done nothing for 65 days!

So yesterday was the first day for over 2 weeks to see any small boat arrivals in the UK.

There were 9 boats with 621 people.

But despite this, numbers remain very low compared to earlier in the year and most of the last 5 years.

Here is the 28 day averages for people and boats.
