Fenland is my home and muse.
Pinned
The Fenland of Cambridgeshire is my photographic “backyard” -a place of wide open landscape broken by drains, droves and lines. The rich black peat , slowly eroding contrasts against constantly changing light.

Using pinhole, polaroid and Holga cameras I try to capture the still beauty of the place.
Recently I shared the link to the YouTube video showing how Ctein made dye transfer prints.
The second edition of his book is available free on line as a PDF download and is recommended if you want to dive deeper into film and darkroom technique

Resisted all the Black Friday film deals so far - my fridge is heaving with film but I do need paper and chemicals but they aren’t sexy enough to qualify ….. unless you know otherwise?

I’m loving the “Frames” subscription - monthly digital mag, quarterly print mag and tomorrow an interactive zoom meeting with a guest photographer - had Alec Soth in the past .
There’s a great members social site too.

Found a bottle of white rum in the cupboard - immediately transported back to the 80s when I mixed it with coke (the drink not the snorting variety)….

@stigofthedump.bsky.social is turning into quite the Lo-Fi enthusiast - we will get him onto the podcast on the new year and see if it’s just a passing infatuation…….

Despite some issues with framing, which I hope I've fixed, I really like how the lens on this little Diana F+ Dreamer renders (the pinhole I'm less enamoured with)

Whilst I’ve been coming to terms with the arthritis in my hip, today marked a huge turning point as for the first time since I was 16 I no longer have a job.
Handed my resignation letter in to Tesco today as my body has told me I need to stop.
I’ll be 60 next year - early retirement it is then…

Relying on muscle memory to use this with a 10 stop ND - so many steps that could lead to a non exposure

A Holga, some @ilfordphoto.com #HP5 with a red filter and some RC paper - the London Eye is of course well photographed but hey - when in London……
