Real estate agent and cat tamer - in roughly that inverse order.
I've taken to calling 2025 the Enfuckening of America.

Saw Hamilton in London at the weekend - "you've seen how it ended, now watch how it all began!"

French Revolution levels of inequality, in a scenario where all involved have readily available access to fire arms.

The only thing preventing collective, violent action is the numbing anaesthesia of social media and modern consumerism - but this train is fast running out of track.

I wouldn't blame the collective you - the 'ye', as many would say over here. There's just a massive tranche of people too illiterate, self-centred and "apolitical" to understand how important - and ultimatelt fragile - the American Experiment truly was.

"Compliance in advance is a real challenge in the face of rampant authoritarianism. Here's five ways you can spruce up your home in advance of Palantir's automated inspection this coming Patriot Day.'

Speaking as an outsider; it's like America wanted to be Rome: the iconography, the bread and circuses, the global hegemony. Then it decided to invent the novelty penis (social media), and it's been a circular firing squad on ethics, attention and solemn governance ever since.

A Congress, fiddling.

Absolute, certified banger.

I just think the way Mulan as a movie handles it is hilarious. It's intended to be "Shang admires Mulan for [his] valour in the face of unstoppable odds and feels deep betrayal at having been lied to" - yet the way it comes across is per the meme. 😄

Always loved Mulan though. Best KDR - true MVP! 🐉

The poor White House getting its own taste of Shock and Awe alas!

The big election to watch in Ireland will be the next General Election; where parties campaign for the Dáil (parliament- pronounced dohyle); and the party with the most votes will elect a Taoiseach (leader or Chieftain - 'tea-shock')

So our President is largely a figurehead - it was a historically low turnout; characterised by a massive number of spoiled votes.

Basically nobody wanted either of the female candidates - and the male candidate was forced to drop out. Connolly will be fine, though I find her decidedly naive.

"I would like to thank my opponent for their opening meme. Allow me to begin my rebuttal a swift exhalation from my nostrils, a link to an obscure substack entirely devoid of moisture and a series of intricate arm-pit fart noises..."

There were also very few attics left. Judging by the East Wing of the White House, I'd say we are about halfway through his demolition of America.
