Should we let them know that we, Cycling UK and WWCT have new logos that need to be updated? 😈

8. Removal of more on-street parking could result in more trees being retained.

6. The properties along this route have ample off-street space for private car parking.

7. Bollards and enforcement will need to be included to prevent antisocial parking on the new pavements and cycle lanes.

4. This is an opportunity for a key connection for local schoolchildren to travel independently.

5. The route would enable more sustainable trips to major sports grounds, shops, Trafford Bar Metrolink stop, and other entertainment attractions.

2. The proposal for protected, one-way cycle lanes is the best way to reduce risk for people cycling.

3. The proposal would be much more direct, connecting with the Chorlton Cycleway, and providing a genuine public service on a wide public space.

We'd recommend considering:

1. The existing situation makes the route largely unusable for walking, wheeling, and cycling, due to endemic antisocial parking destroying the pedestrian experience, and a long, straight road that encourages speeding and dangerous passes.

So here's your opportunity - it's never been more important to have your say via the Trafford Council website. You can do so here: www.trafford.gov.uk/residents/tr...

In the other corner, there is a petition by some residents to demand that their antisocial pavement parking land grab is retained - to the continuing detriment of people trying to walk or wheel along the route.

This could be a key strategic connection between existing routes, responding positively to TfGM's 'Streets for All' Design Guide.

But currently, as a pavement parking hotbed, it is riddled with obstacles that prevent its use by people.
