Crazy how much Greenville SC laps other cities in terms of connectivity with essentially one big greenway

My city just got its first fully protected bike lanes and I already want more. They've opened a dangerous can of worms... :)

I just watched the first 25, minutes of The Virgin Suicide, turned it off to take a nap, and then proceeded to spend the entire time dreaming about how the movie continues. I guess I’m just like those boys.

It really does drive home the point of The Substance that Demi Moore got passed up on the Oscar in favor of a younger actress playing a more typical Hollywood role

I love cycling but I'm aware that it could result in my violent death or getting seriously injured. Not because cycling is dangerous but because we prioritise the convenience of car drivers over the safety of everyone else. I wish it wasn't like this.

I wish more places had transit agencies like Caltrain
Incredible, tbh. Thank you for believing in the electrification project, and for riding.

"82% of likely voters... holding a favorable view of the transit agency. This figure soars among the riders, with occasional users at 84% approval and frequent users at 91%"

I would love to see some numbers on this, but I imagine that with congestion pricing, places like Downtown Brooklyn and Uptown/Harlem are also seeing less traffic from people trying to get to lower Manhattan. It would be another awesome third degree effect to add to the list!

Foaming at the idea of my state tolling the interstate spur that runs into the downtown of my city and using that money to fund bike, ped, and transit projects. It would never happen but a boy can dream, right?

If you have to put bollards around your street furniture you have abjectly failed at creating a shared street.

Call me a conspiracy theorist, but I genuinely believe that deprioritizing cars and building more housing can help solve *so many* issues in today's society

Small wins like this add up! Let transit agencies do their thing!
Transferring to the 7 line at Grand Central-42 St? Well, we’ve got good news!

A brand new passageway and staircase to the platform are now open 🎉

This is part of our larger effort to improve passenger flow through Grand Central-42 St, and it was completed on time and under budget.

Let me tell you living in a state with a bloated department of transportation really sucks when it comes to pushing for walkable and bikeable urban transportation

There are definitely more pressing things going on regarding NYC’s transit right now, but Penn Station Access is something I am super excited for in the coming years
Penn Station Access
The MTA will create an extension of Metro-North Railroad‘s New Haven Line to reach Penn Station. This will create four new accessible stations, improve existing tracks and bridges, and will cut travel...

Any American city with decent public transportation should implement a congestion toll that funds its mass transit. It is clearly working in New York, and I can do so much for cities like Boston, Philadelphia, Chicago, etc.
