Getting a late start to this month's #NovelGauntlet challenge. (Weekdays continue to be difficult writing days for me.) But! It is a gorgeous sunny day & that means BACKYARD WRITING TIME! Going old school for this zero draft to see if handwriting helps me resist the urge to go back & rework stuff.

Had a more productive than expected afternoon yesterday, adding 5K words (!! not normal for me) Hoping for another solid day to build up a buffer for this week! (Also hoping I get to the only one bed scene. 😘)

I am 3,755 words under where I need to be today to stay on track for my #NovelGauntlet goal. Good thing I have the rest of the day (& evening) to myself. Let's see if I can get back up to par!

My current project is a fantasy romance set in a location that's loosely based on WA state's Olympic Peninsula. My first week's project-inspired recipe was portobello mushrooms stuffed with sautéed spinach, walnut & roasted garlic ricotta, & caremelized onions.
