There is a glittering place, a shimmering place, between light and shadow, somewhere between buzzed and drunk because you had a few drinks while completely exhausted, and I am in that place, in the Sacramento airport, hoping I don't wind up on a YouTube video.

My brother watched it happen while driving to Jersey City on the NJ Turnpike. Cars were pulled over the on the side of the lanes as people got out of their cars to watch. His manager told him to turn around and return home. #NeverForget

When I was a teen, I used to walk by Nakashima's open garage, which faced the tow path in New Hope, PA. It was near the Lock House, which was owned by my uncle, and the mule barge rides. I remember seeing him sand + lacquer large slabs of rough-hewn wood which would become the tops for his tables.

My son Griffin knew that "Car 54, Where Are You?" is one of my all-time favorite comedies & drew this for my birthday. The likenesses of Fred Gwynne & Joe E. Ross are absolute perfection & he even included the theme song! I treasure it as one of my most prized possessions.
