Big news for Career & Technical Education! We increase the aidable salary for BOCES instructors to $60,000, which is a long awaited change. And I am thrilled to announce that my bill (A1088), which provides funding to begin CTE education in 9th and 10th grade, is included!

Big news for Career & Technical Education! We increase the aidable salary for BOCES instructors to $60,000, which is a long awaited change. And I am thrilled to announce that my bill (A1088), which provides funding to begin CTE education in 9th and 10th grade, is included!
We also included a waiver for school districts who, through no fault of their own, are unable to meet the upcoming mandate that new school buses be all zero emissions. School districts can request up to two consecutive 24 month waivers while they try to meet the zero emission school bus goal.
