"On average, you’ll meet about 80,000 people in your lifetime, but only about 500 to 1500 will be part of your larger social network. Even rarer, you’ll most likely form deep meaningful connections with just 5 to 15 people."

Got me thinking...What do you think?

Keeping to the Trump playbook, (distract & ignore Science at all costs) Australian Lib senator Jane Hume proposes we sack the head of Australias lead independent Climate Authority becuase he points out consequences of potential PM Dutton's Nuclear Plan.

Senator threatens climate body after nuclear 'carbon bomb' report
Additional emissions from adopting the Coalition's nuclear plan equate to 200 years of domestic air travel for Australia, a new analysis from the Climate Change Authority reveals.

The Climate Change authority (lead independent body) has pointed out Duttons nuclear "plan" would result in an extra 2Bill tonnes of emissions. Lib senator Jane Hume proposes that the head of said body should be sacked if Libs get in.
Heres some stats on where we're at temp wise...

This muppet is starting his run.
Like Trump, he couldnt give a hoot about these issues (below) but his base will focus on them+ Distraction is ALL!
Climate Collapse is disrupting society, food & water chains+ threatening life on Earth right now.
This is not a drill. Handle your vote carefully.

When someone tells you who they are...listen (but dont believe them!)

Create chaos and slip through the back door

Exactly what the Libs in Australia did in the Voice referendum and what they're planning to do in upcoming federal election using Trumps model.

Look closely at the first two weeks of Donald Trump’s second term and you’ll see something very different than what he wants you to see.

If I were Canadian PM I would immediately:

1. Create a new $15B science fund

2. Offer any credentialed US scientist funding for lab startup and replacement of NIH grants if they move to Canada

3. Immediate permanent residency

4. Citizenship after 2 years

Overnight a science superpower

Dutton today on Jews in Australia: "I’ve never seen an element of society ostracised in such a way"

Yeah, that's why they have a much lower life expectancy, earn 25% less than everyone else, and are 17 times more likely to be incarcerated...

Oh wait, no that's another group.. can't think who.

“Trump’s irresponsibility is no surprise,” said Christiana Figueres, a Costa Rican diplomat and an architect of the Paris Agreement in 2015. “In time, Trump will not be around but history will point to him and his fossil fuel friends with no pardon.”

This graph explains the motives behind Dutton’s nuclear “plan”. He is trying to disrupt the rise of renewables to keep coal in business. Why isn’t this the frame through which media report about his plan? Instead they give it legitimacy by characterising it as well meaning.

These people are on the coalface. They cant turn away like the rest of us.

Great illustration. Starting the responsibility clock in 1960, the global north had burned through its fair p/c share of the 1.5C budget by about 1990. Now we're nearly 3x.

What about China? Don't underestimate how many people live in China. Still under fair share.
We find that ambitious mitigation to reach net zero by 2050 in all countries could limit warming to 1.5°C - which is crucial - but the global North would overshoot its collective fair share of the 1.5°C carbon budget by 3 times, appropriating half of the global South’s fair share in the process. 4/

Not buying from Bayer/Monsanto is darn near impossible, but just know that their monopoly is one of the reasons food is so high, and they DO support the Heritage Foundation. Just posting this list so we can all be informed.
