Here we go: Denis Villeneuve is officially, 100%, definitely going to be the director of the next #JamesBond movie - once he's done with his next Dune film.

UK Govt AI copyright plan suffers fifth Lords defeat, 221 to 116 votes.

Copyright enables many to earn a living. It is being ripped off by tech companies. All they need to do is to inform people, get a licence to use and pay. Govt says change might come in the future.

I voted against the govt.

look if the makers of HAPPY VALLEY can't even stay in business then something is fundamentally wrong

no one in the indie space is safe right now

honestly not feeling terribly optimistic about the industry and for sure the push for writers to do so much free work is a symptom of how bad things are
Red made some of the most innovative, exciting and irreverent TV drama of the past 30 years. If they can’t survive the current crisis then surely no indie is secure. Can we finally acknowledge this is existential for British TV production and act accordingly?

This is scary stuff. When production companies with a pedigree of critically and commercially successful dramas; e.g. ‘Happy Valley,’ ‘It’s A Sin,’ can’t survive a shrinking TV
and film production market, you know something has seriously gone wrong. 😢
