If art is your hobby and you do it as a job, you need to accept that there will be times (sometimes years) where you lose that hobby.

I think it's really unfair that monetizing art is so often framed as "you'll never work a day in your life" and not "you might lose something very important to you"

Artists - just cause you CAN monetize your work doesn't mean you should. There is NOTHING wrong with just doing art as a hobby. I miss it actually. When my art became my main source of income, my relationship with my work changed forever (and often feels way less creative than it used to be).

A collection of NPCs for Pokemon Knights Top Left: Adrian is a tall masc presenting person dressed in earthy tones. They have two hoppip and a torterra that help with his traveling store. Top Right: Agnes is a tall and thin woman with light hair and skin. She has a number of unown tattoos on her arms and face. A Musharna is on her team to help study pokemon. Bottom Left: Lord Montgomery is the leader of Lumiose village. He is short, but burly and has a command over fighting types with Machamp, Heracross, and Lucario on his team. Bottom Right: Aleph is a thin woman in a dark blue gown who specializes in psychic powers and fortune telling. She leads the Crescent Moon Clan with her lunar pokemon, Lunatone, Clefairy, and Minior. A collection of NPCs for Pokemon Knights Top Left: Barrett is a man of average height and build with a bushy black beard and long dark hair pulled into a bun. He leads the Corviknight Keep and oversees the training of knights with his steel type pokemon. Corviknight, Agron, and Aegislash. Top Right: Bea is the leader of the Raichu Clan. She's a short, round woman, with cheery demeanor and golden and brown clothes. She carries a bow on her back and is an expert on electric types with her Alolan Raichu, Electabuzz, and Emolga. Bottom Left: Bruce is the Battle Master of Lumiose Village. He is a tall burly man clad in metal armor and chain mail. He trains new knights with his Armarouge, Samurott, and Sawsbuck Bottom Right: Dragana is a tall powerful woman with long dark hair with streaks of silver. She is the leader of the Dragonite Clan and specializes in the training of dragons. She fights alongside her Dragonite, Hisuian Goodra, and Druddigon A collection of NPCs for Pokemon Knights Top Left: Ella is a tall fat woman with enormous blue hair and a flowy white gown. She has recently come into a leadership role of the Lapras Clan and keeps command of the seas with her Lapras, Vaporeon, and Marill Top Right: Elma is a short elderly woman in long cozy clothes. She runs a local tavern sharing stories, warm meals, and good drink. Her Torkoal heats the stove, her Miltank provides milk, and Cutiefly brings honey for mead. Bottom Left: Heath is a strong man with a dark beard turning silver. He is dressed in a leather apron with a number of tattoos across his arms. He's the local blacksmith and forges armor, weapons, and tools with the help of his Metang and Slugma. Bottom Right: Hector is the leader of the Lurantis Clan. Hector is a strong man dressed in bright pink robes decorated in flowers. He wields two scimitars and focuses on art and the protection of his clan with his Lurantis, Eldegoss, and Ludicolo. A collection of NPCs for Pokemon Knights Top Left: Honey is the head farmer of Lumiose village and oversees the rotation of crops, harvesting, and speaks as a representative for the farming community. She uses her Sunflora, Politoed, and Diglett to aid in farming. Top Right: Jasper is an older man with white hair dressed in warm furs. He is the leader of the Ninetales Clan and protects his community from harsh cold, and dangers with his Alolan Ninetales, Beartic, and Bermite Bottom Left: Lawrence is a tall large man dressed in yellows and oranges. He uses local plants and the pollen puffs from his Ribombee to craft healing potions to mend pokemon and people. Bottom Right: Lock is a imposing man dressed in greens and covered in foliage to hide amongst the trees. He leads the Yanmega Clan and is an expert on bug types. His pokemon are Yanmega, Scizor, and Beedrill.
