In a world where Demon Slayer owned movie theaters, broke multiple records in the US, & had its English dub praised in every corner of the internet, it's wild a company could even consider doing a full on AI dub. It's like a captain drilling holes in the ship right as it gets into port.

The only thing less human than these AI dub performances is the decision to sign off on them
A company this big can pay human actors a decent wage, not produce slop that intentionally removes the human element.

Went to see “Wake Up Dead Man” in theaters yesterday. That movie was a gift from Rian Johnson to me specifically. Voicing a lot of the frustrations I had with the church, wrapped in a detective story.

Oh I can already tell I’m gonna be grumpy today.
Went to sleep at 9:00pm, had to be up for for at 2:30am. At 11:00pm my wife (who stayed up to play Peak) let out a blood curdling scream and I jumped out of bed thinking there was a crisis (she fell off the mountain)
Haven’t slept since then.

Went to see “Wicked: For Good” today. I had a few things I was a little iffy on, but overall I enjoyed the movie a lot and would recommend seeing it. It felt like it was made by a crew that had a lot of love and respect for the stage musical as well as the original Wizard of Oz film.

I don’t think I’ve ever finished a book in a single day but if I keep going at this pace I absolutely will finish in less than 8 hours. That’s pretty cool.

On top of reading Murderbot Diaries I’m also reading Miracle Workers. Both of these books were adapted into TV shows, so I guess I know what shows I’m going to be watching next.
