The Employment Rights Bill has now passed both Houses of Parliament. It will implement the most significant uplift for workers’ rights in decades.

While more remains to be done in strengthening workers’ rights, this is vital legislation that we must continue to build on.

The Employment Rights Bill has passed. This is about good work for the many not the few:
- Exploitative zero hours contracts banned
- Sick pay extended to low earners
- Notice of shifts
- Family leave strengthened
Change promised.
Change delivered.

I’m proud to have voted for the Railways Bill, which will establish Great British Railways, a publicly-owned railway company that will operate most passenger rail services.

For passengers, this means frozen fares next year, fewer delays, and a unified ticketing app without booking fees.

We need to talk about social care.

So that’s exactly what we did.

We spent the day with staff at Be Caring, a carer-owned co-operative in Leeds, and the only ‘Outstanding’ care provider in the area. This is what they had to say about their people-first model. youtu.be/xrtYHZnKBqw

Rightly lots of debates about growth this weekend - rightly because it was low productivity growth that saw wages entirely flatline during the 2010s.

It’s exactly because we believe in Britain’s future that this government has started investing in it. Revised fiscal rules have enabled the highest sustained levels of public investment in a generation - £120bn extra.

We outnumber them. Let’s not let the randos with more money than us decide what opinions get shared.

This is the most ruthless act of union busting in the history of the UK games industry. Yesterday, @rockstargames.com unfairly fired over 30 employees for union activity.

We won't back down, and we're not scared - we will fight for every member to be reinstated.
