Last month @kalayaan.org.uk had a special event in Parliament, "Breaking the Silence". Domestic workers under the Overseas Domestic Worker Visa shared their experience on the effects of the visa and the need for change. Grateful to all speakers and to Lord German who opened the afternoon.

Great to be at House of Lords today for #DomesticWorkersDay. Migrants who enter legally for work often face illegal exploitative employment with no path to identity recognition. Lord German's amendment on right to work is crucial - we need government to show humanity and care.
