But I do get where you're coming from. I'm all for the modular ethos you described, just hoping for a basic foundation that makes it easy to tweak scenes without having to stare at text all day.

Having a "blessed" basic editor won't stop people from exploring creative additions to it, especially if it's built with extensibility in mind.

I get it, but not having at least an asset browser, scene editor and property view is a huge pain in the ass. These are not new concepts, why do we need 10 different people all making practically the same thing which gets left unmaintained when they lose interest?

It's now cemented by recommendation systems being unable to rank by attribution and pushing recycled content.
