New data shows the world is embracing renewable energy. Canada can’t follow Trump’s fossil fuel obsession
North America at risk of becoming an island of fossil fuels in an electrifying world. Canada should take note and choose a better path.

Best baby shower gift for the nephew-in-law I hardly know, because he lives in the US, and because I'm friends with @robinstevenson.bsky.social, and because it's famous/infamous. I hope they love it but if they don't that's on them. It's adorable.

Me yesterday: It's so gorgeous out, I'm going to keep working in the garden and wait until tomorrow to get groceries.

You grow lettuce in your greenhouse and supply an independent corner store. Each year you sell the store owner $1000 in lettuce. Sometimes when you’re dropping off your lettuce you buy some milk. Over the course of the year you buy $200 in milk. 1/5

Reminder to self: in this shit-show world there is still pleasure to be found in the simple things like spring's first hanging out of a load of laundry.

Volunteered to speak on behalf of my NPO at a community meeting tomorrow because I'm vibe-blind and any hostility will just not land on me. I'll obliviously finish my elevator pitch secure in the misguided belief that they've listened with open hearts and minds.

I wish real life had an equivalent to that thing I do where I brain-dump everything I want to say in an email and then afterwards scroll to the top to insert the social niceties that I know are supposed to come at the beginning of an interaction.

What would a TV ad promoting alternatives to driving look like? What if people who love cycling and progressive transportation reclaimed ideas like freedom, independence and even patriotism? We decided to give it a shot. Check out our new video, "America, It's Just Like Riding a Bike."

For me an appropriate social-skills scaffolding strategy would currently be a t-shirt or button printed with “ask me about my temperature blanket.” 😆 Luckily my friends mostly seem to not need the prompt. They get me.

The Scottish Sunday Herald TV guide featured this preview of the Trump inauguration.

It’s fucking brilliant.

I cannot adequately convey how excited my temperature blanket spreadsheet makes me. The conditional highlighting of cell data honestly feels like the best part of my life at this moment.

Weather spreadsheets + fibre arts + stimmy-hand-busyness + another item on my daily to-do list: what's not to love?! It'll be my 2025 temperature blanket, assuming I can learn to crochet flat hexagons

I adopted Norman to provide myself with an emotional refuge during an extremely challenging family visit 18 month ago. He died a horrific death on Friday from acute respiratory failure, on the eve of the next such visit. This week is gonna be hard.

Yes, there is a war on Christmas here in America.

But the brutal yuletide assaults haven’t come from Atheists, Gays, Muslims, the Liberal Media, or the Woke Mob.

The very wh*te Conservative Christians sounding the alarm, are the quickly-advancing hordes.
