Thank you for this post. I followed your advice and just finished the book. Holy moley was it amazing. That trailer would have put a dent in my experience.

Huge spoilers. I remember reaching that part of the book and my brain vibrated.
Skip the trailer. Listen to the audio book, then maybe watch the movie. (Seriously, the audio book is THE best way to experience one of my favorite books of all time.)

Real sorry about this, but my editing rig has been met with some catastrophic problems re: the power supply, motherboard, and possibly videocard. I'm looking at nearly 2 grand to get this thing fixed.
