Looking up all the econ summer schools for PhD students for a resource bank, but can't seem to find a comprehensive list. Does anyone on #econsky have a good starting point?

#EconSky 📉📈 Looking to collaborate on a behavioral/experimental paper. We have one great idea based on Coffman et al. (2016). We want to do some methodological innovation and check the biases in a domain in the Indian context. I want someone who can help us validate our idea.

Heartwarming: when Gothenburg City Library staff left for a holiday weekend, they forgot to lock the doors. Almost 450 people enjoyed free library access over the weekend, borrowing close to 250 books. No damage was done. www.dn.se/sverige/bibl...
Biblioteket var stängt – lånade böcker ändå
Stadsbiblioteket i Göteborg var stängt – men en dörr hade lämnats olåst av misstag.Över 400 personer besökte bibblan och 200 böcker lånades.– Ingenting

Quick question for #econsky.

Say I have a plausible IV, run a TSLS, and get my LATE.

Then I break it down by say gender and get the LATE for women and men, respectively.

Now assume that the LATE differs by gender. How am I to interpret this effect heterogeneity?

Looking forward to read on synthetic control and other new cool econometrics techniques.
Econometrics Thread (#EconSky)

Today, I will talk very briefly about a few recent methodological papers that I think are super useful to applied researchers. Basically, below, you will find some new tools that may help you to answer relevant empirical questions.

The flood of AI assistance for academia has made it more difficult what to choose. #econsky If anyone has a compilation on which AI LLM should be used for which purpose it would be nice to get that.

Academia reward more to the publications than to the true value added to humankind. At one end we’ve Gino who published while fudging and got rewarded so much so that to become 5th highest grocer at Harvard at other we’Ve Katalin Karikó who was kicked out & forced to retire 10 years ago. #NobelPrize
