I still have no idea what Number 10 was thinking intervening over policing. If they ‘win’ the standoff, Keir Starmer personally owns any incident that happens around the match. And he’s broken the precedent of interfering in operational matters, and so will be asked to do so relentlessly.

Of course Starmer is siding with the notoriously violent and proudly Islamaphobic football hooligans over the half a million Muslims residents of our second city who are scared their homes and businesses will be targeted like those in Amsterdam. #avfc

Someone should do a study in why these two-way calls always go as badly as it's possible to go. #FPL.
I'm having a wobble on Wirtz. I wasn't going to consider him until a few GWs into the season when we had a better idea of how Liverpool will work, which still feels sensible, but it looks like he's going to be very central to what they do. Considering swapping Saka & Wood, for Wirtz & Watkins. #fpl

Decent start, but Haaland is papering over the cracks somewhat. Tempted to go early on Wirtz to Reijnders to accrue some team value and free up funds to upgrade Welbeck. #FPL
