Donald and Elon both have a pathologically hatred and disdain for those in need.
Which is odd, since Donald needed his father to rescue his failed businesses to the tune of over $400,000,000 and Elon needed the US government to rescue his faltering businesses to the tune of $18 Billion (so far).

Trump stopped deliveries of semis loaded with food for food banks. There was no point in doing so, the food had already shipped, the work had been done, farmers had been paid, the food transported. Stopping the deliveries was pointless.
