@naptown.bsky.social and I rescued a nighthawk today. It was in the alley behind our house in the rain. It could hop and flap and hiss like crazy, but it could not fly. Now it’s at the bird hospital having some quality rehab time. Andrew has a thing for hawks, so it was pretty cool.

My husband‘s car was completely obliterated, couldn’t even get the doors open to get his stuff out, and once it was hauled away and the road was cleaned up, I couldn’t help but have the feeling that it was nuked from orbit. 3/x
