I've just sent a letter to Israel demanding it comply with international law and not attack the #Madleen, carrying humanitarian aid to Gaza.

It took me less than a minute. Will you please do the same and then pass on the word?
Take one minute: go to bit.ly/IsraelOnNotice and send a letter to the Israeli government, UN officials, and diplomatic missions demanding that Israel abide by international law and refrain from attacking, sabotaging or otherwise interfering with the #Madleen and her mission.

What do we mean by the word “local”?

What’s local in Shandon is not what’s local in Tollcross or Merchiston, in an area as diverse as Fountainbridge-Craiglockhart.

On 26th June, vote for a new voice in city chambers, drawn from a decade’s career in community building.

The Madleen, a UK-flagged aid ship heading to break the illegal siege on Gaza, has been threatened by the Israeli government.

Greta Thunberg, Rima Hassan MEP & others are on board.

The UK must act: defend the ship & crew or remain complicit in Israel’s blockade, aggression & genocide.

South Carolina's Bill H3537 would allow the state to execute women who get an abortion.

My article below has exceeded 100K reads—& it includes the direct numbers of the 6 MAGAs who co-sponsored the bill.

If you are expanding beef production & aiming to count climate benefits from increasing soil carbon (which requires careful measurement & causal link to management practices) you need to also count up the methane & other GHGs too

I mean, yes this, it's really difficult (impossible) to hold onto any self-esteem you had when the world is constantly framing you as a threat
I'm tired of the framing of trans suicides as an entirely internal struggle detached from the realities of a deeply hostile culture hell-bent on denying us care, dignity, and autonomy.

Every trans suicide is a social murder, because you cannot ignore a society actively trying to eradicate us.
