How does light structure microbial mats?
To explore this, we studied #Cyanobacteria and Chloroflexota from hot springs. Using simple synthetic communities, we found that these species cooperate, forming stronger #biofilms and moving further together. Paper now in PNAS: pnas.org/doi/10.1073/...
