Machine quilting in progress:
A portion of a white, blue, and turquoise quilt showing the machine quilting. The blocks have graphic triangles surrounding center squares with white background prints. The machine quilting pattern is large meanders with the stitching doubled on itself so as to look like a twisting ribbon in the curves. The meander contrasts with the angles in the quilt blocks.

I finished up the back for the blue quilt yesterday and got it basted & ready to quilt.
Scrappy quilt back made of several blue, turquoise, and black and white fabrics. There's a long column of black and white text fabric running the lynch of the left side, and then horizontal bars of fabrics. At the bottom is a black/ white/ multi color fabric print of chemistry/ periodic table symbols. There is a black and multi color space fabric and then 5 other blue and turquoise chunks of fabric. The right edge is uneven because I don't square off quilt backs for home machine quilting. Photo of a portion of the quilt batting. I sewed together numerous narrow strips of batting to make large squares and then sewed them together to make a batting big enough for a 48"x60" quilt top. The seams are zigzagged with the batting edges butter up against each other, no overlap. Photo of most of the blue, turquoise, and white quilt fully basted with 1 inch curved safety pins. The Rocky Mountain Puzzle quilt blocks are 12" square and have graphic half square triangles surrounding center squares of color with white inside. The contrasting white fabrics are various low volume prints with white or off white backgrounds.

I made around 26 heart blocks every month in 2021, and finished this quilt on Valentine's Day 2022.
A large quilt made of around 325 small squared-off heart blocks. The blocks are all colors of the rainbow with various white background fabrics. They are arranged diagonally in rainbow order. The binding is a painterly style black and white stripe fabric. The quilt is held over the edge of a deck, and there is tree foliage and a bit of light sky around the top edges of the quilt.

Quilt top I finished last week for a donation campaign in my area. I made a very labor intensive franken-batting for this and will be making a pieced back as well.
A quilt top made of 20 Rocky Mountain Puzzle blocks which consist of an inner square surrounded by half- square triangle on all 4 sides. This one is made with the triangles in a color gradient from dark navy blue to light turquoise. The inner squares in the blocks are mostly the same fabrics as the half square triangles but are randomly placed. There are white squares inside each of the colored squares in the blocks-- this is challenging to describe! The background in each square is a white-ish print with what quilters call a low volume design. Aka it's mostly white but has added interest. There are 10 background prints among the 20 blocks. The quilt top is laid out on a dark royal blue area rug.

Beautiful sunset sky, one year ago from today.
Sunset views of vibrant gold, orange, and coral pink wispy clouds against a light blue-grey sky, with a row of dark evergreen trees in the distance. The sky is reflected in a still lake. There is a pier extending out into the lake on the left side and small bare branches on the right and left sides of the scene.

Foundation paper pieced butterfly. Free pattern is by lillyella stitchery. Might make another one tomorrow. #fpp #quilting
5.5" square quilt block with a foundation pieced butterfly in lime green and dark green with black body pieces and a mixed white-on-white print background. Rotary cutter, 1x6" ruler, and violet craft brand wood pressing roller are also in the photo. And a pile of tiny scraps. Everything is on top of my green cutting mat marked with a 1" grid.

I made a quilted pocket for this purchased hoodie, inspired by @nextgenquilting on ig. Drawstring is an upgrade as well.
Dark grey hoodie with purple patchwork pocket in place of original pocket. Hoodie drawstring was replaced with a strip of purple fabric, folded and stitched like a lanyard. Close up of a purple and pink patchwork pocket sewn on the front of a dark grey hoodie. Each fabric is used once and colors range from dark to light and berry purple to bluish lavender to pink.

My most recent quilt finish:
