There will be displays set up at Pacific Central station, tours of the trains, and there may be information about the preliminary designs for the long distance fleet renewal project too!

By adding more frequent service with other trains???? Like a dedicated vancouver - Edmonton or Edmonton - Calgary service????

You can double track trainlines for relatively cheap and gain a immense amount of capacity, its much cheaper than HSR and enables so many more options

VIA regularly goes 150kph on CN tracks, Canadian trains have gotten better since the 80s

Thats a CN refusing to have more freight trains for the demand because it lowers the amount of money their shareholders make problem, not a network capacity problem, CN has some of the biggest rail yards in north America

Ive personally waited several hours to catch (1) freight train on the kingston subdivision, CN is not running their tracks at capacity, they can definitely make room

Our network has supported all services since the 1850s. It can continue to do so with targeted upgrades. This isn't an all-or-nothing discussion. We need HSR, but there are also places other than the Corridor. If you want to spend $80B punching a line through the Shield, Toronto-Subury, be my guest.

But it can, we just need to prioritize service over freight trains, in the east, CN runs the double tracked kingston sub, which would only need better maintenence, and in the west they would have to double track to add more service, but its very doable

???? Ok? Im just saying, im all for high speed rail, but its not the only solution we need to have, HSR is expensive and will take time, meanwhile we can add more frequency to have more available trains with lower ticket prices.

The canadian railway network is big and robust enough to support more passenger trains, HSR is a great idea in the long run, with projects such as VIAs faded HSR/HFR and now ALTO, but we need more trains with more frequency now

Write to your MP and demand that laws protecting and prioritizing passenger rail are put into effect, or renationalize CN

Id rather have more, and more reliable service with the tracks we currently have, then move on to HSR
