What we need is a long-term steady pipeline of rail and transit investment and renewal so that manufacturing communities aren't caught in cycles of boom and bust. The "Permanent Transit Fund" should have helped but it was diluted in the federal budget.

Wonder when the Northland sets will make their trip up north, and of course, siemens still doesn't know that having your intakes right where your wheels kick up snow, is not a great idea! Why do you think VIA's chargers have been having issues?

This Remembrance Day, I am both out and in a mental state where I can appreciate the fact that my freedom to be who I am and love who I do is owed to those who fought and gave their lives in the fight against fascism.

We will remember them.

I've been posting stuff about the Lansdowne 2.0 redev over the last week or so (mainly because the way @mayormarksutcliffe.bsky.social and some councillors have been presenting it has been scummy). But here's a concise, detailed, and correct assessment of things: www.reddit.com/r/ottawa/com...

Our network has supported all services since the 1850s. It can continue to do so with targeted upgrades. This isn't an all-or-nothing discussion. We need HSR, but there are also places other than the Corridor. If you want to spend $80B punching a line through the Shield, Toronto-Subury, be my guest.
