This day/week is etched in my memories like September 11th. It feels surreal and shocking that it’s been 5 years!
The WHO declared a pandemic. The NBA shut down its season. President Trump banned travel from Europe. Tom Hanks tested positive. On one day five years ago, the coronavirus became very real in America.

Today I spiraled. I finally lost it. The chaos pushed me over the edge. It’s devastating to see them play with people’s lives like this. The waves of exhaustion I feel are actually waves of grief as I mourn the country I thought I knew.
