I should have said - not just men - instead of people in general. I didn’t mean all people are like this, I meant it’s not only men who don’t engage and express interest in others. Although I find women more engaging!

I think that is a problem with people in general. When someone does this I get quiet and wait… Wait to see how long it takes for them to ask me a question. It’s a symptom of self absorption, but also perhaps excessive social anxiety.
