We really want to know what *you* experience.
But we can't know if you don't tell us! 😀

I’m looking for a postdoc and RA for an ERC-funded project “SLEEPAWAY: Forgetting unwanted memories in sleep”. You’ll use MEG/EEG and fMRI to understand how the sleeping brain remembers and forgets. PLEASE REPOST 😊

When I was young my parents told me that I should not sit in front of the computer so long, so that my eyes do not become squares.
Today my work consists of looking at the screen for 8 hours of the day.
Who would have thought, haha

Everytime I see a Laptop/Computer/tech review I notice how the vast majority of productivity usecases are focused on creative photo/audio/video(/coding)

I mostly wonder: but how will it perform in my scientific world, will it be compatible with the software, how efficiently will it do this workload

A reminder that science is inherently political and free science can only thrive in a free society.

If you want to do your science better lobby for a working democracy.

When talking about M/EEG in #neuroscience wlthere should be a justification why to *not* use an automatic annotation, visual verification approach.

There are clearly case when one need to do manual scoring of their data but it is clear that judgement tasks introduce Noise(alla Kahnemann et al.)

The strain on scientific publishing: we set out to characterise the remarkable growth of the scientific literature in the last few years, in spite of declining growth in total scientists. What is going on?

In science the methods follows he question otherwise it is engineering.

Daily aphorism as a PhD student in #neuroskyence stumbling over my own feet.
