THIS. I’m glad folks are reading the full article! The CEO is leaving the post in Feb 2026 but still on the board. And the COO who is his replacement was part of the decision to remove DEI programs as well so they didn’t learn anything. Business as usual.
He’s stepping down from his current role but he is not leaving. He will transition to Executive Chair of the Board of Director’s. Guess they thought we wouldn’t notice. Also, his replacement is a 20 year insider. Target remains anti-customer.
