Got my first "Violating an Executive Order" and "I'll make sure you lose federal funding" parent threat today for teaching "DEI" books in our upcoming "Liberty and Justice" themed unit. Even in "Blue" Massachusetts we're dealing with this.

Anyway, don't obey in advance, and don't obey later.

Also! Please consider being your own mini archivist. Save those reports, documents, memos, articles. The more people backing up things the better.
Given all these critical webpages are being taken down, this might be a good time to familiarize yourself with the Wayback Machine on Internet Archive. It can pull up pages that are no longer active:

Records are never impartial. They reflect the rules and logistics of the society that made them. That reflection doesn't have to be deliberate to be true.

New perspectives on old records can lead to history being better understood from the gaps.

USAF "disestablished" 17 yr old Women's Initiatives Team. The all-vol group identifies barriers to women's effectiveness as airmen. This includes creating two-piece flight suits so women pilots, 10% of pilots, don't have to dehydrate themselves to do their job. www.washingtonpost.com/national-sec...
Trump’s DEI purge guts Air Force team tackling obstacles for women
In a service where women were not permitted to fly in combat until 1993, adapting to a growing female population has been slow and hard-fought, advocates say.

Last year, I listened to an interview with Reverend Muther Issac— whom you might remember as the Palestinian reverend in Bethlehem on the West Bank who cancelled Christmas. And he said: If you're not working to be the answer to your own prayers, you're not praying right. That changed me.

The USAF removed Tuskegee Airmen & Women Airforce Service Pilots of WWII from basic training curriculum. For 30 years I promised these women I would not let them ever be forgotten again. We worked for decades to have them remembered. The Airmen too. Knowledge is power. 🗃️ www.msn.com/en-us/societ...
