At the risk of letting others in on a truly enjoyable secret, you need to check out Savannah’s Saturday afternoon honky-tonk. From 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. every Saturday, Over Yonder hosts a county-western band. This last Saturday it was the crowd-pleasing Intracoastal Playboys. #overyondersav

The Hyundai traffic quagmire at I-16’s Exit 143 is a little less murky now that GDOT has opened lanes that feed from the factory frontage road directly onto I-16 east. See video below and search “ajc.com” and “Hyundai traffic” for more. #hmgma

Speaking of young marine life, one of the real pleasures of living near the water is exploring it. A real treat came Sunday, when we spotted baby dolphins swimming alongside their mothers in Richardson Creek. Watch the video closely.

CNN retiree Daryn Kagan, now a Townsend resident, sent over this video of a gray seal swimming off Blackbeard Island. These creatures typically don’t stray south of Connecticut. He’s the second out-of-place marine creature around these parts lately, joining melon-headed whales.
