Billboards and mailers are saying to vote Democrat to lower the bill. One problem: The PSC has 5 members, and only 2 seats are up. So even if both Dems win today the panel remains GOP controlled. New voices? Yes. Lower bill? No.

It’s not all good news for Georgia Ports Authority – the auto tariffs continue to drag on Brunswick, the nation’s busiest auto port. Business was off 30% for roll-on, roll-off cargo.

A look at SAV rivals: Charleston down 1%, New York down 5%, Norfolk down 14%, Houston down 9%. Jacksonville has yet to report. On the West Coast, only LA was up (and neighbor Long Beach was off).

Carter is running second to his fellow U.S. House member, Mike Collins, some 10 points behind (3% error margin). But he’s 8 points ahead of Gov. Kemp’s candidate, Derek Dooley – and nearly 40% of those polled are undecided.

The case first went to the state appeals court, then was transferred to the Georgia Supreme Court when the appeal was deemed a constitutional challenge. The justices disagreed, sending it back to the appeals court. Those judges ruled without hearing arguments.

A neighbor and aspiring right-leaning politician, David Tootle, filed the suit after the renaming in early 2024. Chatham Superior Court dismissed the suit, ruling the city had the authority to change the name in summer 2024, and Tootle appealed.

The optimistic mortality report extended to calves. All 11 survived birth and their first few months of life. By contrast, 25% of those born during the 2024 season died. Be on the lookout for mothers and calves in December with the start of new calving season.

Even better news – there were no deaths this year. Right whales are fragile: They swim close to the water’s surface and are susceptible to entanglement in fishing gear and boat strikes. Researchers recorded only two injuries related to these dangers in 2025.

Wooten has been involved with elections for decades and stepped into the lead role when Russell Bridges retired -- in 2020, when elections officials managed the voting machine switch, COVID and unfounded (still) allegations of a stolen election in Georgia.

In addition, a “visa desk” will soon open at the U.S. Embassy in Seoul to facilitate requests. This addresses Gov. Brian Kemp’s call to protect American workers while helping foreign-based companies investing here. (like Hyundai and LG)
