I'm a slave to the cinema and a horror writer who often wishes life was like an old monster movie. And I voted for her.

I went to see this in a theater during its initial holiday season release. It was amazing and I was astounded to be viewing something that unlikely on the big screen. And I still love it.

-Pupil learns from Master & Master learns from Pupil.

-Guy gets murdered in a very crummy fashion & gets resurrected in order to murder all the sleezos back even worse.

-None of this horror shit would've happened in the first place if you'd listened. Now shut up & let's fix this.

The movie that Predator: Badlands eventually reminded me of was Midnight Run, with the frustrated, by-the-bounter hunter-book De Niro handcuffed to the constantly talking/annoying Grodin who ultimately becomes a good influence.

Predator: Badlands is like a sci-fi/action-adventure cross between The Most Dangerous Game and Midnight Run, except with a Predator and an android versus lots of monsters. Yes, it's that funny.

Life sure can surprise you sometimes, like when a 38 1/2 year later Predator sequel is so goddamn good it makes the aforementioned life seem even better than it was before. Even though, at this point, the sequel should be nothing more than just a dumb IP-milking piece of crap.

A ★★★★½ review of Predator: Badlands (2025)
If an android can learn to be more than an android and if a Predator can learn to be more than a Predator, then maybe we can all learn to be... Well, maybe Predator: Badlands isn't great enough to imp...

This part was hilarious. Like two kids in a trenchcoat sneaking into a movie. Or when your dog or cat tries to act casual after they've totally been caught being naughty.

Hold my beer, I saw The Running Man.

He's dialed down everything to an equal level.

So far, Gretel And Hansel is far and away my favorite of his movies.

Except for the part about the Nazis needing to hide that they're Nazis.

"the Anne Frank ooo-ahh"
That line is so ridiculous and points to such a level of uneducated, culturally-isolated Americanism, it kills me each time.

This underrated and underseen gem also has a classic Valentine's Day story, so it serves two different holiday film festivals. #FilmSky #horrorsky #christmasmovies

Amicus horror anthologies are the chicken soup cure for classic horror fans. Whenever & however you're feeling poorly, throw one on and it's just about guaranteed you'll like at least one of the creep...

Frankenstein had multiple sold out shows all over the country. But Netflix didn't pony up for a big release and they never publish their numbers.
