Plus I’m a first gen Black woman academic from the U.S. South. All my people still live there. There is no where for me to flee to especially without my folk. And some of us tried to talk about how that informed our November choices and some of the folks who can flee weren’t trying to hear it. 🤷🏾♀️

It’s very “only Nixon could go to China,” in the sense that Democrats who call for general strikes and say “abolish ICE” are scolded by a broad swath of other Democrats and journalists, but when Brooks or Kristol say it, they’re treated seriously.

- It’s reported that they didn’t mean to go to war with Harvard.
Perhaps staffing a White House with unqualified loyalists isn’t a great approach.

One of my companies informed me they cancelled a $2m conference in Florida. Why ?
They didn’t feel they could pass on the incremental cost of tariffs. So they are cutting expenses.
That’s a city that lost a ton of tourism revenue.
