In contrast to how Star Wars handled the rebuilding of the Republic in the Sequel Trilogy, Gundam considered the success of a republic against a fascist enemy to be itself a stepping stone to misguided patriotic fascism.
I think this would have been an interesting take in Star Wars.

Whether the "You wouldn't steal a car" anti-piracy campaign stole the music is up for debate, but I found today that the font they used throughout was a pirated clone (XBAND Rough) of a real font (FF Confidential).

By using FontForge on a PDF from the website for the campaign (web.archive.org/web/20051223...); I can confirm that they are indeed using the illegal clone version of the font, rather than the licensed one!

The ‘Piracy. It’s a Crime’ campaign used pirated music, *and* as it turns out, also used pirated fonts. Incredible.

The biggest evidence we live in late-stage capitism is the complete divorce between producing wealth and producing anything of actual value. Take "fin-tech" as an industry... providing the same services (payment gateways) that used to be free, but adding a surcharge is considered "innovation"

Is there an alternative commentary track for the coronation that tells you where every item was pilfered from?

One bit i did catch was "There's Duke of York, a rare engagement for him"

Also Germany, India, New Zealand from previous weeks. The studios are failing to divide writers but united we will win a fair wage. There is more of us than them. #iu #WGAStrike
