Let's be honest, nothing coming out of this regime can be trusted. They've found willing collaborators in nearly every agency and office, or threatened the livelihood and/or freedom of the unwilling.

Exactly. Never ascribe to malice that which can be adequately explained by incompetence.

Or, in the case of the Trump regime, incompetence *and* malice.

Theil's software is aggregating every last bit of data the government has on every person, business, and group the government has. It is being installed in gov enterprises despite the massive security concerns it presents, lack of approval by oversight/policy groups, and decimating privacy.

We wonder why these assholes are so... assholey, but remember this. Pool is so disliked that he bought a property in a deep red state, where skaters had technically been trespassing to skate; they all stopped going to a spot they created, rather than skate with him. And now he's in the press pool.

Both as the head of the government, and as a floundering businessman; no smart leaders should want anything to do with someone who squandered so many opportunities.

Basically admitting"The President ran on breaking the Constitution" with zero room for wiggle. They have zero fear of the people. Predictably, another RW taking point is proven to be projection.

This seems like an opposition effort to discredit them.

Exactly. Millions upon millions of us know better. This is not a game, and it never had been. Even more, we know that Trump may be the figurehead, but the rot is far more pervasive than one bloviating would-be bully. It will take a generation to remove this stench.

Still is.

Bingobongo does not get enough credit for being one of the most willfully terrible people in this entire far right movement. Every person I know who has ever had the displeasure of meeting him said the same thing, he is a GIANT asshole, and truly enjoys being one.

I'd like him to prosecute Elmo and his periopubescent incel army, as they are impeding the entire federal government's ability to do it's work. None of them are actual federal employees, none of them have the same protections as the thousands of people they have fired over the past weeks.

The cherry on top was that he closed by saying that the non-merit promoted, unvetted, unmonitored, inexperienced staff of DOGE were held to a higher standard than the fully vetted expert public servants who live under a microscope (and are not immune), simply because they are political appointees. 🤡

Finally, before he shape shifted into a bat and flew off into the shadows, Miller clearly states DOGE staff are political employees, which flies in the face of them being outside of the government, and also brings into question their legal ability to embed in agencies at all.

"...he IRS has been weaponized at a career level against the American people for years now. We are restoring neutrality." Except that he'd literally just stated they want to introduce politics to the agency's operations, also ignoring the massive amount of non-partisan oversight and 45's 1st admin.
February 18, 2025 at 6:46 PM
He then spewed some nonsense about needing full access and to know "how much money we're talking about" to find fraud, which is, again, divested from reality. The IRS reports all this to the WH and Congress already, with TIGTA oversight.
After that, he takes a ham-handed swipe at career employees...
February 18, 2025 at 6:46 PM
Nosferatu then says its needed to look for "fraud rings", which isn't the mandate of DOGE, that is the job of trained investigators and federal LEO, not IT admins, either.
Next up is that the IRS needs "basic political controls", which is a simply unhinged statement. Enforcement should be apolitical
