On November 27, 2013, the UN General Assembly adopted its first-ever resolution on women human rights defenders. This was a significant achievement for WHRDIC and #WHRD groups worldwide. The historic document recognizes the threats, discrimination, and violence faced by WHRDs.

I saw Miss Major speak once; she received many questions about handling hard things, e.g. burnout, disagreement w/ allies, etc.

Over and over, Miss Major gave a short and pointed reply which basically boiled down to “You get up, every day, and you do the work.”

So let’s do the work, for her.
