meanwhile at LC we don't approach politics like it's theater criticism. we put what's going on in our country in international perspective--seeing trump not as some sui generis evil, but as one among many would-be personalists worldwide

Perhaps it's an AB 2011 project? Looks like both Fulton and Cabrillo are about 75ft there including sidewalks

CORRECTION: NYC's current sanctuary law only allows the city to hand immigrants over to ICE if they've been *convicted* of one of 170 specific charges, not merely accused.

So I'm deleting this tweet to avoid spreading inaccurate information.

I agree we refer to too many things by numbers, though I'm not sure what you mean by "that number". Are there other 187s?

Sorry, you wouldn't look like James Dean regardless.

_Within the scope of party primaries being stupidly governmental elections_, it's a vast improvement imo.

I would say to the extent it's tilted it's more to oldest, & those with regular salaried work history, than to poorest, though. There are some programs you do have to be super-poor to benefit from (pre-ACA Medicaid), but not sure that's characteristic generally

Confused by this as they seemed pretty similar on my London trip in 2019. But I might be spoiled by Bay Area quality norms. And I was mostly going to poky ones chosen by walking convenience to my lodgings

Even the patchiness is patchy, in that some parts (Social Security, Medicare) are decently universal, even by European standards, while some parts don't exist in many states at all (paid sick leave), & others are in between (Medicaid).

I can probably respond to this if you fix the typo, at the moment I can't actually parse it

For example, does the RCV winner of a state just get that state's delegates? Or are delegates bound to switch by the RCV preferences of their state if their candidate drops out?
