Really feeling this lately. Tolkien lived through the worst and had a deep understanding of despair. And hope.
Good. As a Liverpool fan, I found it difficult after Henderson left to give a shit about anything he had to say. Liverpool legend, but that doesn’t change the fact that he ruined his reputation and legacy by going to Saudi Arabia. Perhaps him and Bill Burr can have a pity party together.
Jordan Henderson has revealed he felt unable to watch Liverpool games on television after leaving the club in 2023.

For years I’ve put off watching My Dinner With Andre. Having now watched it, I understand it’s not for everyone. The first half was a struggle. It can be boring. But the second half really hit for me, and even 44 years later, some of the struggles discussed are as relevant now as they were then.

I’d still run through (into) a brick wall for Nancy. Gotta trust he can pull this around for #Crew96. Even if we miss the playoffs or bow out quickly, I hope the fans/ownership don’t turn against him because that will be worse than any game result.

I know it’s a road game on a baseball field reffed by Boiko, but that feels like a missed opportunity for #Crew96. Arfsten was invisible and disappointing. Tired from USMNT camp?

I still subscribe to the belief that Daniel Gazdag deserves a full offseason with #Crew96 before a verdict can be given on him, but he is not enough of a difference maker to deserve a DP spot.

Bringing Up Baby is one of my all time favorites that I could always rewatch. Hard to believe it’s 87 years old.
I think it's accurate to say that each of us has older films we just plain vibe with, although which those are will not necessarily be the same for everyone. The Philadelphia Story is one of my Top Ten films and there are a ton of people my age and under who it bores the ever-living fuck out of.
But sometimes you don’t have to work at it to appreciate the movies! I just did my first watch of The 39 Steps (1935) and HOLY MOLY is that entertaining as all get out! Point is, you won’t know if you don’t try, and the person who gave the quoted opinion obviously doesn’t have the energy to try.

To piggyback off of that LA politician talking to Son, I’m curious if Wessam Abou Ali has any plans to help #Crew96 and/or the USMNT win the World Cup next year?
